Dermot, is a 23-year old gelding diagnosed with Pastern Leucocytoclastic vasculitis (PLV). In last year, he had multiple treatments including dexamethasone injections, oral antibiotics, oral prednisolone, topical steroid/antibiotics, topical tacrolimus ointment, topical antibacterial/antifungal shampooing and UV light avoidance.
Blood test was normal and impression cytology of crusts showed large number of bacteria (suspect secondary Staphylococcus infection).
All treatment was stopped except for the oral prednisolone (anti-inflammatory dose) was continued and 6 treatments of phobia was given a week apart. In between the treatments, the leg was washed with antibacterial shampoo and E45 cream was applied.
The response was remarkable and shows that phovia is an effective treatment for a refractory case of pastern leucocytoclastic vasculitis.

Silver, a 5yr 10m FN greyhound present to the practice on the 30/8/24 for a recheck of a wound.
While away on holiday, silver had cut her leg on a fence and had to undergo emergency surgery at a different practice.
Due to the thinness of Silvers skin, the wound wasn't healing very well and the sutures had failed in places.
It was decided that Silver wound benefit from phovia. Over the next 3 weeks silver had once weekly treatments of phovia and the improvement of granulation tissues and hair regrowth was very impressive.

Millie a 10YO Springer Spaniel has had chronic sores on her feet normally 3 of them occasionally all four were bad. Had a course of phovia by the 3rd session her sores were dry by 4th there was no open wounds just cracks healing. This allowed her to finally be able to start hydrotherapy again along side her physiotherapy.
Unfortunately I did not take progress pictures but after years trying other things laser, ointments the phovia seems to be the thing that has had a lasting effect as it has been 5 months since treatment and Owner reports that still looking good.
So a picture of my parents Spaniel

Hugo, a 7-year-old Weimeraner, had a benign lump removed 06.09.24. After taking advantage of his grandma's hospitality, it was evident that Hugo had managed to lick his wound. His owner brought him down 13.09.24 for his post operative check. He was prescribed a comfy collar, 7 day course of Amoxycillin/Clavulanic Acid, Meloxicam and Phovia Light Therapy. He was seen again 20.09.24. I think the pictures speak for themselves! We did one more session today (20.09.24). His owners are thrilled with the improvement and advised me they would be letting their friends know about the Phovia Light Therapy treatment.

In October, Ruby (11yr old, Border Collie X) had a lump removed from her left hind leg after a suspected foreign body. For 2 weeks post op, the wound become increasingly inflamed with increased bruising and oedema. Unfortunately, the irritation got too much for Ruby and she was able to get her buster collar off which resulted in self mutilation of her foot, resulting in muscle & bone exposure.
Due to severity of the wound, prognosis was poor and the option of amputation with highly likely.
Thankfully after 9 intense weeks of weekly Phovia treatment with frequent bandage changes with supportive pain management and antibiotics, Ruby made a miraculous recovery. The owner was very pleased and grateful with these results that Phovia had achieved.
